"When we began to think about eve echoes isk we want to enlarge the effect of the EVE universe, bringing it to lots of fresh players across the mobile sector. Just as much, we want to undertake the challenge of bringing this fresh mixture of participant driven markets and hard-core PvP space conflicts to mobile players. "
EVE is as distinctive a name as they arrive from the Desktop area, the mainstay EVE world is as well known for its ridiculously large, week long space conflicts and cutting edge server scaling as it is for its elaborate space frigates. EVE Echoes may not have quite as many billions of ISK to burn off in one place quite yet but it starts with the capability of hosting 100 boat battles and more than 8000 worlds on a little 6 inch screen. Suffice to say that this isn't an insurmountable challenge when bringing the game to cellular.
Shicheng Zhou, affirmed what lies behind EVE Echoes is way more than just another portable tie in with a fresh skin. "We learned a lot from CCP games. The team in CCP shared a lot of information, even sharing information on the host side of EVE Online. This allowed us to take ideas and optimize the design of EVE Echoes for the mobile platform. There are similarities in the way that the two games support players outside in space but mobile also comes with its own challenges."
Zhou maybe even underplays the battle that NetEase and CCP took on with this mobile interface. Until today, getting games such as Old School Runescape onto a mobile platform has been considered something of a technical marvel. The cellular space includes a huge variety of hardware, users that are on the move, relations which may only drop off without warning, and many additional limitations that CCP hasn't had to overcome in their time. Still, the team think they've got this covered.
"There are so many challenges to bring that massive battle in the PC to mobile but we hope we could reach the Exact Same technical heights which EVE Online already has achieved"
The on the go server changes are not the only thing that EVE Echoes has shifted up for gamers coming into New Eden on a small display. The staff in Netease has spent a significant amount of time modifying the in game UI, streamlining it and making sure that new players may get to grip with their ships with no need for buy EVE Echoes Items a mouse in sight.
