The Boss Slayer Master poll raises concerns about the potential for OSRS

Quite a few recent content updates have proven a peculiar and worrying tendency for the nation of OSRS gold, but the Boss Slayer Master poll highlights and drives home a number of things WILL become problems in time. For the interest of brevity I'll primarily mention the Boss Slayer Master poll, although both Ferox Enclave and the Death Mechanic update increased a number of difficulties. I think that today is that we, as a community, have to come together and address these problems for the interest of RuneScape we enjoy.

For many years now we have heard JMods tell us about their disdain for"shopscape" and their desire to transfer skilling resources away from PVM. In the lead-up into the release of the Nightmare, we've heard we are told by JMods the way they prefer the gwd/kq fashion of trekking to a boss. For a number of years, we have heard JMods tell us that they dislike pohscape and the number/convenience of teleports in RuneScape. These statements suggest the JMods possess some type of management that need RuneScape to move in and a design philosophy to get new content. However, this is called into question once we see the Boss Slayer Master poll blog.

The survey suggested Blood and Death rune packs as a reward for PVM by incorporating them to, possibly, the most popular skill in RuneScape. Upon player feedback, this has been removed from the poll using the updated survey blog stating"You were vocal that the need for more runes should be stuffed by skilling instead of PvM and shops. We agree. We'll endeavour to find ways of integrating more runes from runecrafting later on.". (Players may recall the PVM nest upgrade and the Birdhouse nerf which was done to stablilise the price of Saradomin Brews with the justification of"We concur with many of you that PvM shouldn't be the main way of obtaining skilling resources", just for the first Konar Drop Table to be released using a drop of 2500 mentioned Saradomin Brews.).

We will need to wonder why this kind of material continues to irritate us. Boss Teleport Scrolls are listed in the survey. Despite frequent JMod statements that run counter to the design philosophy of these teleports, such as an whole bit of fresh content in the form of the Nightmare and Sisterhood Sanctuary to highlight this, we now observe a poll question with wording that suggests the specific opposite:"We are very aware there are some lengthy walks to a supervisors. We would not want to abolish this - the expectation is that these scrolls would be slightly better compared to present procedures.".

From one poll, we have seen two questions that directly contradict long-standing JMod statements on style philosophy. For me, this seems to show that polls undergo no kind of vetting until the blog is uploaded. As a community, we should be concerned to hear one thing simply to see action taken in the opposite direction. Content upgrades have to be internally assessed for consistency with match direction before going 19, and design philosophy. As stakeholders of RuneScape, players may continue to voice their views on matters of game integrity, but the notion of a free boss skip (Which the survey blog says"We believe it also jeopardized the integrity and total equilibrium of their material" about -- which makes us wonder why such an overpowered mechanic has been proposed in the first place).

Skilling resources coming from PVM and also the question around teleports to supervisors should have been checked off by developers prior to submitting to be certain the content fit Oldschool Runescape. This point is in NO WAY intended as any sort of attack. Nobody needs to attack our JMods or do anything to damage the relationship between gamers and developers. That being said, the"Words from the developer" section in the Boss Slayer Master site are very stressing to me personally and further highlight the significant demand for this type of internal consistency. "This is my first appropriate project. I've been on the Old School team for a couple of months now and have managed to use elements of my practice on the Poll 71 jobs.".

A brand new JMod with a love for bossing is given free reign on a project. In the proposition we see an entire disregard for stances relating to game design/design philosophy for Oldschool Runescape which aren't addressed until highly negative reactions are obtained from players. As a community, we will need to ask these questions of our JMods for the interest of the future of RuneScape we all love. We need to ask on these issues and see whether they've determined on RuneScape direction, whether they've a style philosophy and if there is anyone who ensures that suggested content updates stays consistent with these goals. It seems that we have seen a wandering besides player opinion and JMod choices although our JMods have been very forthcoming in regards to matters such as this. It is my hope that this post can bring the playerbase and the JMods to achieve the vision of community driven content we believed in if Oldschool Runescape first launched. It's been said a million times before and I'll say it again, you never really quit Runescape, you take extended breaks. As someone who does not engage at all in PvP and minimally in PvM (largely into skilling and questing) that there really isn't a motive. Maxing out even one skill in OSRS is a massive grind, also there are a whole lot of skills, some easier to level than others. Among the best features of both RS3 and OSRS is the quests, I've often heard it said that no additional MMO does questing quite like Runescape. And both variations of RuneScape possess their worth.

While I do not really like the grind to level up is, in the exact same time I feel as though it is due to the mill I get that feeling of accomplishment when I finally get there. I Wish there was more of a pay off for spending all that time leveling skills to their max. OSRS does not do the whole"effort = reward" aspect very well. This version of Runescape isn't really optimized for team vs play.

Less of a grind for certain, but in addition, it loses that sense of achievement for when you finally acquire a level. This version also includes a strong sense of in-game development and you never really run out of things to do. It's RuneScape that was optimized around playing if you want, but if you would like to join up with buy RuneScape gold a group you are able to do this to. RS3 feels like it's more management than OSRS, but in addition, it feels more cluttered with makeup and material in general, I assume that is bound to occur with RuneScape almost 20 years old, but still. The community of rS3 is toxic, mostly they continue to themselves. There are a whole lot of micro-transactions in RuneScape which can be a bit off putting and really adds to the mess.
