adidas Originals continues a substantial snakeskin rollout as we approach the Year of the Snake on February 10th. The Chinese New Year-inspired Adidas Superstar Sale are the snake-est of all Three Stripes CNY designs, opting for a fully scaled upper contrasted by black suede on both white and red makeups. This new adidas Originals Superstar II, then, is something like the inversion of the latter, sticking with scaled branding on a red leather base.
The Adidas Superstar Women is a shoe that no doubt makes the most sense in the straight black and white. But those have been around for forever, so we’re going to go ahead and assume you’ve got a pair of those, or perhaps the first Superstar shoe, in your rotation somewhere with that no-nonsense combination. Getting a little bit more creative is the new “Camo Dot” pack, which features three different pairs that all wear a camouflage canvas along with a polka dot overlay.
This new collab from atmos and Adidas Superstar Men is one of those glow in the dark sneakers that looks way different in the night than it does in the day. In regular lightning you can just barely make out the snake textures, but when the sun falls you’ll find a detailed reptilian pattern that’s highlighted by the luminescent treatment. This isn’t the first time these two entities have been down this path either, just last year we were treated to another incarnation of the adidas “Glow Snake” theme.
We just saw a black leather Shelltoe lowtop from adidas Originals with red and white trim and a neoprene inner sock release not too long ago on the Keith Haring x Run-DMC ‘Christmas in Hollis’ 80s. Here, we have a similar arrangement
on the Adidas Superstar Price, which uses red in a far more prominent fashion, which is fitting for a design that also adds a bit of wildness by way of leopard print on that added bootie.
