The last NBA game I played didn't have anything

I'm pretty sure the 2k and EA sports games make the majority of their cash on microtransactions. And it looks like they are getting to the Fortnite version so folks have 2K MT, of making it totally free. However they still receive the additional $60-$100 on launch since the most hardcore fans will always get it then (eventual teams fall behind fast if you don't get it immediately), and at the end of the cycle they pick up the rest of the people. At this point they're simply picking up the most casual players that probably would not have gotten the next game at start anyway, and this also gives them a opportunity to easily hook people who have never attempted the games in any way.

Together with the Steam Summer Sale having a massive discount on NBA 2k20, I'm feeling very tempted. I haven't owned an NBA game in roughly ten decades. I am skeptical with all the reviews that are negative. Can this game for enjoying and only picking up? The last NBA game I played didn't have anything or trades. Do any computer players advise this game? Can you recommend purchasing the base game ($9) or buying the legendary variant ($15), and the reason why? I would appreciate any input anyone can provide. Thank you!

I play think it's worth and is myCareer. But honestly it would be better to find the legendary edition due to all the coins they give you which improves your character. How do the cards and coins do the job, if you do not mind my asking? Do you not have each participant until their cards are unlocked by you? Do coins use to a player that is created? You use the coins to upgrade purchase animations and your character to be used in match + cosmetics. Every player will be available in play today, and mygm (franchise mode), but for your card collecting/team building game style, you'll use either the typical virtual currency or the one special to the my team style.

In a vacuum, it's not a game in the slightest. Particularly for somebody who hasn't played with. A good deal of the complaints come as a consequence of the community handles the sport more to Buy NBA 2K Coins than anything else, in my own experience. Like yes, you are gonna have little kids, and overall shitboxes in the online community, also rampant toxicity and that's frustrating as all hell. But to me, mechanically it's not a bad match, although I have my gripes - both inside offense and protection dont make a lot of sense, plus the shot competitions are finicky at best (as in, a shooter with no defense nearby being considered greatly contested and vice versa). Nonetheless, it is not the terrible monster.
