I didn't say that the gameplay in RS has been maxed. Games like GTA Online etc enable RuneScape players to unlock rewards in certain exp degrees like weapons but they supply double exp each week, for participating in races and match modes and those RuneScape players trying to OSRS gold rise through the exp amounts will utilise these offers.
Your point about Riot games is true but they also offer event based missions that benefit persist and exp a time period, how is that any different than that which Jagex offer by way of xp weekends? I do feel this is something which Jagex are imagining as they've started to go back through older content and abilities and reevaluate milestone rewards although I agree about the mentality around being 99.Because so a lot of people whine and bitch switches such as Flanking/Lunging that aren't super big in increases and rings. It's one thing to complain about swaps that are overpowered bullshit like Planted Feet and Spellbook Swap, but it's a completely different story when the majority of people complain about the tiny swaps that don't make or break battle efficacy (such as rings), thinking switching is an issue in combat when they refuse to check at themselves to improve, or even thinking they're eligible for the 0.1% of best DPS without performing"dumb" stuff.
And of course, it being"absurd" is a reason there's people that have the 0.1% best DPS out there, since they can juggle that stuff in addition to every other basic battle fundamental. The average RuneScape player never finds any shallow optimization"fun" or"accessible". There is room for reward spaces like maybe another ring"slot" which has some drawbacks, but a great deal of complaints 100% miss the stage and falls on these RuneScape players to stop complaining and make the most out of what they have in their foundation kit without even swaps.
Though then that makes diminishing switch, if that is true scape more persuasive. Truth is, 99% of those RuneScape playerbase are playing on revo. Assuming flanking and ring switches are insignificant to dps growth, why not get rid of the switch scape related to them and allow skill expression be focused on matters that are purposeful such as planted toes and spellbook swap?
This is advantageous because 1) reducing switch scape does make inventories and RuneScape game generally appearance neater and is attractive to the masses and 2) permit for the masses to really attempt harder supervisors without blaming switches leading to more meaningful improvement to basic dps rotation/understanding of boss mechanics. Flanking and ring switch (along with other superfluous switches) aren't meaningful anyways so that just removed them out of the equation and still keep the can you buy runescape gold mechanisms which diffenciate a guy like you vs a revo user.
