I don't like how the 100 percent 10 key chance tricks people into believing they missed RuneScape gold another black stone rarity thing, such as the 100mil or darkness stone items. Why are 10 treasure hunter keys a black gem thing if the opportunity to receive them is 100 percent on your first key for the promotion? I don't like the way that it's given to you as 100% with the beginning of this promotion yet it's not suggested in any way in the'view probabilities' display. As if anybody actually needed proof you shouldn't be expecting whatever probabilities they inform you, but hey. Bears repeating. Some individuals actually are not conscious of that.
I think the complaint is much more about the manipulative nature of this rather then the fact it is"free keys". It's a common strategy called"the first ones free" in which you give somebody a free strike on something that you know could be considered addictive so as to get the ball rolling in hopes they will spend more. While many us understand the keys that are free are a drop because of events that are previous. There are people STILL who don't and presume they got super lucky. And people who have gambling addictions will 100 percent pursue that winners high despite the fact that they essentially won nothing.
Especally if this voucher has always worked like this, such a complaint tbh. They always give frankly, and 10thk first roster thats the prize to you. Why do I need darts or even gp when I could acquire a 10 more keys and keep going? Apply the"keep going" logic to somebody addicted to TH and spending IRL cash on it. Does not look to me like an ethical point. There's a reason why more than 90 percent of MTX revenue comes from less than 10 percent of the participant base.If you remove the junkies, then the price goes up significantly and/or the game shuts down. You can spew that"ethical" shit all you want, but without that, you don't have a game to play.
If MTX is so important and sub fees are useless afterward I really don't see what is stopping Jagex from eliminating sub prices for RS3 and allow the whales pay for conducting the game like almost all MMOs these days. Mandatory subscriptions are a thing of the past, GW2 and ESO ditched hiding game content supporting a monthly paywall for MTX.Half the income for RS3 stems from subscriptions. Sub fees are not useless, but MTX can be definitely assisting the game. It'd be ridiculous for Jagex to make the decision to just cut RS3's revenue in half (this goes for removing MTX or vouchers ).

I mean that might hold some water in case the game used any of that revenue instead of dumping it into Chinese overlords. RS3 has less than 20 programmers last I checked and makes well over 50 MILLION gain a year.I'm not sure what you mean. Wouldn't the owners be needing to increase gain however? Cutting subscription will the revenue of half RS3. Why would the owners do that? They will attempt to increase earnings, if half of their earnings drops.
That is something you should tell folks like EXPHuster who make it sound like subscription fees do not matter anymore telling people to shut up about MTX. After several decades is a stagnation that signals a lack of direction and poor 28, IMO Jagex is stuck to MTX. Making them work hard for earnings to be exclusively earned kind MTX and expansion packs would motivate their lazy management to really do something instead of rely on monthly sure money.Out of the both of you, EXPHuster at least realises that without one half of the earnings from RS3, the owners would require more and make changes. When we eliminate MTX, we'd see membership fees grow. If we eliminate subscription, we'd see more aggressive and OP MTX to attempt to increase that earnings.
I am okay with either manner. It's either they concentrate all of their efforts into building a subscription worth it or move on MTX. It really makes no difference to me as I've had plenty of experience playing PaytoWin games and there's always OSRS for the real rs experience. Idk if people realize that RS3's MTX is currently quite aggresive, TH is the equivalent of Gacha Boxes or even Loot Boxes since the Western MMOs phone it can't get any worse. While Gacha or even Loot Boxes give out junk more frequently, TH is much more OP as it is a high chance in xp and incentive xp that you can buy off with keys. Jagex is giving it away too easily, Though other MMOs would try to restrict xp gain as players searching for a more time. I have gotten an amount of bonus xp from free keys using their current promos in the oddments only from cashing in 94k oddments. It's counterintuitive that they market xp to bypass lots of ability levels when the main goal of this subfees would be to keep players subbed as long as possible and have them working on these abilities.
