Timber beams are very much eco-friendly, as timber is a natural material that grows directly from the ground. Therefore, no mining is neccessary and less energy is used to manufacture the products. The production of timber does not result in the generation of large amounts of pollutants. Timber is also known to retain carbon dioxide even after it is turned into beams and other products.
