The OFF-WHITE x Air Jordan 1 White is the next iteration of Virgil Abloh’s take on the iconic silhouette, and it’s going to make its debut later this month. Virgil Abloh is fast becoming one of the major names in sneaker design.Earlier this month, the Swoosh finally confirmed a second part to the collection during a NikeLab event in Shanghai which revealed two different colorways of the Off-White Vapormax to release for Air Max Month. Just like his close friend Kanye West, this visionary is pushing the boundaries and setting trends. The ‘White’ Off-White x Jordan 1 is all together more simple than the OG colourway. That said, all the same details make an appearance. Now, the collaborative partners have finally settled on an initial release of their coveted Off-White Air Jordan 1 High “White”, the second colorway of the deconstructed Jordan One.This Air Jordan 1 will come dressed in a White color scheme with similar unconstructed detailing.Nike has already confirmed that Abloh is releasing more Off-White collab sneakers in 2018.The Off-White and Nike collaboration from last year set the sneaker world on fire, unleashing hysteria just to get a pair. This iteration sees the Air Jordan 1 covered in an white base covered by similar layering. Once again, Virgil opts for a deconstructed theme. Premium leather overlays sit across a mesh crafted upper. The Swoosh is sewn-on across the sidewall whilst a chunky and soft tongue keeps the foot securely locked in place. The style remains the same from the first shoe, and exposes every piece of the legendary silhouette. The apparent sample maintains the deconstructed aesthetic of this year's Off-White x Air Jordan 1 release, but instead of the legendary 'Chicago' colourway, the new version features a blend of white, cream and beige in line with much of this year's collection. What's more, the designer himself mentioned a white colorway of his Jordan 1 remix at a Nike panel in New York City in September for the pre-launch of his collection.
The Off-White x Jordan 1 White is stamped with signature markings which makes this range so appealing. The orange and blue accents are still present, along with the “AIR” writing on the sole. The first pair from last year was a “Chicago” theme, but this version is covered in mostly white with the signature deconstructed detailing. That includes the “AIR” insignia along the midsole as well as the vibrant hits of orange. Unlike the OG design, this pair features a baby blue coloured cable-tie.Pops of contrast are found with blue stitching on the Swoosh and orange tab, as well as black text on the inner lateral section, and “AIR” branding on the heels to complete the design altogether. According to Nice Kicks, the Air Jordan 1 included in 'The Ten' was originally intended to wear a pared-back white/cream palette, but was revised when Abloh realised they looked too similar to an all-white pair of Dunks from a distance. The ‘White’ Off-White Jordan 1 is scheduled to release on 3rd March throughout Europe. Stock is thought to be just as limited as the previous colourway. However, as mentioned, sizes will now run smaller which is great news for women sneakerheads.
